EPS cleanroom panels use an expanded polystyrene core between facing sheets to form an insulated sandwich panel. They are an option to evaluate for cleanroom walls and internal partitions where the project specification permits an EPS-core construction. Selection should account for fire requirements, surface finish, joint sealing and the intended cleaning process.
WONCLEAN manufactures in Changshu, China, and supplies projects in Spain. Share your layout and technical requirements so the panel configuration, documentation and delivery scope can be reviewed before ordering.

The EPS core provides insulation without a solid, heavy core. For cleanroom use, the facing sheets, exposed edges, joints and connections to doors or service penetrations also matter. A panel should be selected as part of the enclosure system, rather than by its core material alone.
For wall and partition applications, review the layout, support arrangement and sealing details. If panels are proposed for a ceiling, confirm the allowable span, loading and suspension design separately. Wall-panel specifications should not be assumed to establish ceiling load capacity.
| Specification | Details to Confirm Before Ordering |
|---|---|
| Core | EPS grade, density and documentation for the selected configuration. |
| Panel dimensions | Thickness, width, length, tolerances and any service openings. |
| Facing sheets | Material, sheet thickness, coating or finish, colour and cleaning compatibility. |
| Joints and accessories | Connection profile, edge protection, sealant and interfaces with doors, floors and ceilings. |
| Thermal performance | Declared performance, test conditions and whether values describe the core or the complete panel. |
| Fire performance | Applicable test standard, classification report and the panel construction and installation covered by that report. |
| Structural use | Support spacing, allowable loads and any restrictions on ceiling installation. |
A wall panel does not, by itself, establish an ISO cleanroom class. The completed room's airborne particle classification depends on the enclosure, air-handling system, installation, operating conditions and site testing. Panel selection should therefore be coordinated with the cleanroom designer and validation plan.
Fire classification must refer to the tested product or construction. A core-material description is not a substitute for a report covering the selected panel. ASTM E84 results and EN 13501-1 classifications should be identified separately, not presented as equivalent ratings. Confirm the requirements applicable to the project in Spain before specifying an EPS-core system.
Where a project requires particular certifications or test results, request documentation that identifies the relevant product and configuration. Do not assume that a certificate for another panel, facing material or component covers the EPS panel being ordered.
Installation details should protect exposed core edges and provide suitable seals at panel joints and penetrations. Confirm cleaning-agent compatibility for the facing, coating and sealant. Inspect damaged surfaces and joints as part of the facility's maintenance procedure.
If EPS does not meet the project specification, compare alternative constructions using their own product data and reports:
Compare the complete panel specification rather than assuming that all products with the same core material have identical thermal, fire or structural performance.
Send WONCLEAN the project location, wall or partition layout, dimensions, quantities, required finishes, fire requirements and any available drawings. Specify whether ceiling panels or installation accessories are included. The quotation should confirm the proposed configuration, supporting documentation, supply scope and delivery schedule for your project in Spain.
